WIYB with Rykiel Sim, 21

A freelance model who’s into fashion and all things pretty, Rykiel enjoys giving new life to old clothes and jewellery with her crafty fingers. She gets a huge sense of satisfaction when she sees the final product, which is probably why she enjoys setting up gorgeous stalls at flea markets too.

Pretty things make Rykiel “shimmer”, but one would never guess that she hates vegetables given her awesome complexion. Holding a secret penchant for dancing, Rykiel loves the occasional cup of frozen yogurt!

• Prada Saffiano wallet

When you open up the black wallet, the details are in pink and white, pretty! One of the reasons which contributed to my decision to get it. It is good for my necessity cards, name cards, cash, member cards, and vouchers!

• Shades from Forever 21

Awesome for sunny days!

• iPod Touch

I love electro, RnB, remixes, basically club songs. Perfect for long journeys, especially when you’re travelling alone or waiting for that super late friend of yours.

• Polka dot scheduler

Bought the dotty scheduler from Ion, perfect size and has weekly/monthly schedule. I have a short term memory and need a scheduler for all my stuff. For flea markets, lessons, photoshoots, events and such.

• YSL mirror and lip gloss

Bought the YSL mirror from a vintage store at a steal. Essential for checking makeup and hair at times – vain I know. Lip gloss is from a Japanese brand – good for touch ups and has a natural tint to it.

• Blackberry

My mom bought me this for my birthday. Chose it because I can check emails, Twitter, Facebook and BBM!

• Japanese strawberry milk candy

Bought it from a candy shop at iluma. I’m a sweet tooth – enough said!

6. I like to keep using them until it has “died”, or use it and sell them secondhand!
