What’s In Your Bag with Bing, 35

An ex-banker who left everything behind in Singapore to follow the man of her dreams, Bing is now living the life of a “tai tai” (woman of leisure for the uninitiated) or so she thinks, until she sees herself in 5 year-old sweat pants in the mirror!

Bing confesses that her biggest love (after the man of her dreams that is), is champagne – her pick-me-up whether she’s stressed, happy, sad or simply wants to relax! Calling herself “weird”, Bing enjoys dressing up and fashion like every good lady should, but admits to having a “geeky” side to her where she spends heaps of time online and fiddling with her camera. You would have guessed it already – yes, she is also a photography enthusiast, and by the way, her photos are amazing for an “enthusiast”!

Bags are her biggest weakness, and her gigantic collection follows her everywhere she goes. Picking large and roomy shoulder bags as her favourite style, Bing loves the Giselle hobo with braided handle (editor’s note: all sold).

What’s in Bing’s Bag:

• Girly pouch

This is a large DKNY pouch that I’ve had for years. It goes from bag to bag, carrying all my essentials – lip gloss, lip balm, hand cream, pens, glasses, contact lens cases, toothbrush, breath mints, hair wax, blotters, teeth whitening strips, house keys… and loads more that I’m not showing. Haha!

• Mobile phones

I’m probably the only geek in the world that uses old, crappy phones. A simple Nokia for my Singapore line, and an old LG Prada phone for my NZ line.

• iPod Touch + Bang & Olufsen earphones

I will die without music when I’m on the move. My new Bang & Olufsen earphones from my husband rocks!

• Canon Ixus 900 Ti

The little camera that I carry in my bag for those days where I cannot lug my giant DSLR out.

• Sunglasses

My fav huge Prada specs. They are gorgeous and I can hide behind them when I’m not wearing any makeup!

• Tissue paper

I’m embarrassed. I’m really “auntie” and always carry heaps of tissue paper with me.

Blotters. I can leave home with nothing on me. But I always have blotters in my pocket.
