WIYB with Andrea Cher, 28

A 28 year old marketing professional who counts fiction books (no e-books for her thank you very much), polaroid pictures and online shopping her passion (not necessarily in that order) as her weaknesses, Andrea can usually be found enjoying brunch with her friends or pushing her limits in Bikram yoga studios. The owner of a Holga, a polaroid camera and a Canon 35mm camera (since she was a kid), Andrea loves the anticipation while waiting for her film photographs to be developed. An avid book lover, she also dreams of having a floor-to-ceiling bookshelf next time filled up with all of her favorite books.

With a sharp sense of what’s hot/what’s not, Andrea is the one her friends go to when they need advice before splurging on that big item. It’s not surprising then that Andrea’s current bag is the Miley slouchy hobo in malt. She loves that it’s roomy for her daily essentials and how it’s versatile enough to bring from boardroom to the bar.

Can’t leave home without them! Got this key fob when I went to Hong Kong and my best friend has the same one in a different color.

This was a Christmas present from my best guy pal in 2009. It has since been my essential when I jog/travel/want to shut out the world.

• iPhone and portable juice pack

My hardy iPhone (probably dropped this a hundred times) and some extra battery juice.

• Portable Lacie hard disk drive in Fabrix case

This is honestly not something I carry around with me every single day but I like to be as prepared as possible for any situations where I would need to store/retrieve data.

Although we live in the age of technology and tablets, I still love reading physical printed books. I usually carry a book in my bag to read on my evening commute.

I always love hydrating myself and now that I’m into Bikram yoga (26 postures + 2 breathing exercises done in a 40 degrees studio), I need to hydrate plenty to dominate! The Kate Spade pouch holds my yoga gear including make-up remover, yoga mini top and tights, and most importantly, my Namaste Bikram membership card. The card is used to sign in and also access the lockers, which I thought was a cool concept!

Q) What is one item you can’t leave home without?

I can’t leave home without my phone! I don’t mind not having money on me, and I can wait for someone to open the doors for me if I forget my keys. But I hate being out of reach.

Q) Tell us one thing we don’t know about you

I’m a softie and usually brawl my eyes out at sad movie/documentary/story endings. PS: I cried before Titanic sank till the very end of the movie. This is also why I’ve watched it only once! And that I have an insatiable appetite for parma ham.
