WIYB with Amanda Eng, 25

One of the co-owners & the occasional model for The Scarlette, Amanda is no stranger to most avid online shoppers who frequent their little retail space. Despite having just relocated to Hong Kong and landing a new job which requires long hours, Amanda remains very much involved with the ongoings of The Scarlette which she is very proud of.

Citing salads, matching underwear & cigarettes on a rainy day as her loves, Amanda enjoys Korean BBQ and adores her tattoo artist.

Extremely minimalist, Amanda doesn’t carry around much and if there’s any thing she needs and don’t have, she simply buys and/or borrows (in particular the foot glide from Mei, which is very, very useful…)!

Amanda loves simple bags with great structure and picks Madison as her favourite style from bagspace.sg because it looks nice & stylish for weekends!

• Bottega Veneta wallet

A gift from my Dad! I use it because it’s super big which means I can accumulate many bills without having to clear them out too regularly! I’m quite a messy person, and I think that’s an understatement LOL!

• Kiehl’s Lip Balm

Coats, glosses and protects lips magnificently!

• Chanel Rogue Coco Lipstick

I’ve stopped wearing lipstick in favor of showing my natural lip color, but I carry this along just in case I get too cold and my lips turn purple which make me look like a chain smoker which err… I’m not, chain smoker that is.

• Blackberry

I like it because it’s big, black and hardy (although it tends to hang a lot) and I can BBM my favourite girls in Australia and other folks back home with it. For me, in the perennial debate of BB vs iPhone.. BB wins!

• Cigarettes and lighter

For life-sustaining purposes.

• Office and home access cards

Also for life-sustaining purposes.

Q) What is one item you can’t leave home without?

I can’t leave home without my BB, I need to feel connected even if no one is connecting to me haha
