HOW BAGSPACE.SG STARTED
“Who needs love when you can have all the bags in the world?”
That sums up why bagspace.sg came to exist – it all began from a little mission to bring almost all the bags in the world to an online space where you can browse & shop to your heart’s content! And of course, we hope to bring you some love while doing that! Knowing that we have your love in what we do gives us the biggest satisfaction and it’s what keeps us going!
For the uninitiated, bagspace.sg was a tongue-in-cheek spinned off from the “Backspace” key on our keyboards. It was a eureka! moment for us when we coined that term, since this site is a “space for bags” as well. Inspiration for our logo came from the keyboard and also the main styles of bag we carry.
ABOUT BAGSPACE.SG
“Whoever said money can’t buy happiness simply didn’t know where to go shopping.”
Shopping brings us immense happiness and we know it does for many others as well (35% of women admit to buying handbags to cheer themselves up). We hope to bring this joy to you; even if it’s 10 minutes of ogling at our bags during lunchhour!
Let’s face it – the female creature can never have enough bags. Fuss-free shoulder bags for lazy weekends, clutch bags for a big night out, dressy bags for a special date, structured bags for work, holdall bags for school – some of us even have a bag for lunch…!
Studies show that a woman owns as many as 17 bags at any one time in her life – (don’t go counting yours now!) and we would love to know that our bags are in your treasured collection!
STYLES AT BAGSPACE.SG
Our bags are categorized in below manner – bags can usually be carried in a few styles, depending on the length & types of straps available.
Across Body: Sling bags or other satchel styles that can be carried across body. Most bags these days come with a extra long shoulder strap for days when you want to be hands-free.
Clutches: Traditionally small-sized purses that can be carried in your hand or used as wristlets. Most large purses these days have a detachable strap that converts them into large hand-held clutches instantly.
Handcarry: Styles include bags that can only be hand-held around the wrist. These bags usually have short drop handles – although most versatile styles these days mean that a bag can be hand-carried & shoulder-carried as well.
Shoulder: Shoulder bags are typically bags that can be carried on the shoulder, either with a short shoulder strap or a long shoulder strap.
PRODUCTS AT BAGSPACE.SG
We adopt a policy of personal sourcing – this means that the bags we bring in are specially sourced by us here at bagspace.sg! Most bags are marked as “exclusive” – this means that you would have a really hard time finding the same style anywhere else!
bagspace.sg does not believe that you need to blow your paycheck to have style and our bags never carry any fake logo or brand tags that try to pass off as the original. Instead, our inspired-by bags pays tribute to the classic designs and adopts the style you are looking for at a fraction of the dollar. Sometimes, we add variations on the color/style so that the bag becomes more interesting.
Let’s face it – it is impossible to own a few IT bags at any time because of their massive price tags. It doesn’t quite make sense dropping your entire inheritance on ONE bag when you may not love it as much 4 years down the road. Or slogging overtime hours just to buy that ONE bag that is so now. Because we all know that our styles are constantly evolving & we are just… fickle! Why not have 5 inspired-by bags instead of 1 used-to-death IT bag? Replica bags may sound enticing when you are cash-strapped but let’s be honest here – it may look “so real” to you but those in the know would be able to tell right away when you carry a cheap imitation bag! Plus, you wouldn’t feel good constantly worrying every minute about:
a) the day the bitch bag snob in the same department finds out you are carrying a fake and gives you that smirk every time she walks past your cubicle
b) the day you show up at a dinner and you end up standing beside a girl with the same bag – except that yours looks rather different from hers
c) Or if the girl beside you in the lift is looking at your bag because it looks….. not quite right?
We do not encourage fakes/replicas/imitations and believe that you shouldn’t as well! Why flush your style cred down the drain for one measly fake?!? It’s not worth it – because:
a) style cred is not built overnight and you would hardly want people doubting if your Coach wristlet is fake (when it really is real) – do you?
b) you wouldn’t want to be remembered as “that girl with the fake Chanel/Balenciaga/Mulberry”, do you?
We follow a strict sourcing guideline to ensure the quality of our bags. Thick leather, quality hardware, sturdy buckles, inner fabric lining, smooth zippers – these are just some of the guidelines we follow when acquiring each individual bag. We are picky shoppers just like you & would never list a bag that we would not carry.
We understand that buying online is always harder than it sounds and we ensure that we depict the photos of the bag as it is (no catalogue photos). We also try our best to describe it fully – but if we do leave out anything that you need to know, please drop us a comment!

call me a snob, but if there’s any reason to shop here, it’s your impeccable english. so much easier to shop when i’m not cringing every 5 seconds at some grammatical/spelling/any other error.

Hi Diane,
Perhaps next time? The closest we have is Savannah — we like it for daring to be a lil’ bit different!
